Cooleemee Civitans

The Cooleemee Civitan 7th Old Time Fiddlers' and Bluegrass Convention that was scheduled for May 9, 2009 has been CANCELED.

The Cooleemee Civitan Club was chartered on March 18, 2000. The Cooleemee Club (named after its hometown) is located in the southeastern corner of Davie County, North Carolina.

Civitans are volunteers in an international service organization for people, who want to become involved in their communities, develop new friendships, perform service projects, and become better informed about their community, city, state, nation, and world. Our club is in Area IV West of North Carolina District West. North Carolina District West has more members and clubs than any other district in all of Civitan International.

The Cooleemee Civitans are a diverse group of men who in the past 9 years have distinguished themselves as being a very civic minded and a proactive club by responding to and completing service projects. In addition to the awards received from within the community and Davie County, our club has received over 38 awards from various levels of Civitan: Area, District and International. The Club has had several individuals recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Civitan organization.

The Club Meeting Dates and Times:

The Club meets the 1st Monday of each month - dinner starts at 6:00 PM with the meeting following at 7:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM.- Guests are always Welcome!

The Board meets the 3rd Monday of each month - dinner starts at 6:00 PM with the board meeting following at 7:00 PM-until.
